Odisha's iconic street food reaches a new milestone at IHM Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar, Odisha: In a remarkable celebration of Odisha's rich culinary heritage, Dahibara Express has created what it describes as the World's Biggest Bara, marking a historic moment during Dahibara Divas at the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Bhubaneswar.
The giant Bara weighed an astonishing 50 kilograms, measured 2.3 feet in diameter, and stood 8 inches deep, making it one of the most extraordinary culinary creations ever made for Odisha's beloved Dahibara.
The massive Bara was prepared using 20 kilograms of premium Urad Dal (Beeri) and fried in approximately 53 litres of cooking oil. The feat required meticulous planning, teamwork, and culinary expertise to maintain the authentic taste and texture while scaling the recipe to an unprecedented size.
The event attracted food enthusiasts, chefs, students, entrepreneurs, and members of the public, all witnessing a proud moment for Odisha's traditional cuisine.
